Miss Jariyaporn Charkhonmattakul

Miss Jariyaporn Charkhonmattakul is a technology analyst working at STEAM Platform (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics)-an Asian youth driven leadership platform for smart circular economy. She worked in the paper industry in 2016. She was an engineer at the power plant generated electricity by using Coal, as in Thailand, the electricity is around 26% of all electricity generated by natural gas which increased air pollution from the coal power plants. Therefore, she selected a thesis topic about the virtual power plant to manage renewable energy and peer to peer trading energy by optimal scheduling in the community in her master’s degree in Industrial engineering at King Mongkut's University of Technology (KMUTT) .
Jariyaporn holds a bachelor's degree in Control and Instrumentation Engineering from KMUTT. She has more than 3 years of experience as a project engineer in the instrument field and control system (PLC and DCS) in a cogeneration power plant.
Since October 2019, she has been working with STEAM Platform. She led together with the production team conducted site visits to various labs in KMUTT related to energy and learned the full value chain of sustainable energy production and application through interacting with researchers / students. She has joined various events to promote a circular economy to inspire young people to take collaborative action towards sustainability employing innovation and technology.
