We are a research group based at NTU in Singapore, and led by Prof Hortense Le Ferrand. We are researching on sustainable materials with functionalities, and specifically mushroom-based materials for cooling applications. We have filed some patents and want to explore collaboration to license and/or develop new products based on research collaboration agreement. These elephant skin-inspired mycelium tiles are entirely biodegradable in soil, yet they can sustain at least 6 months outside in Singapore weather, and long if there is no rain. Placed on a facade or a wall, they will be insulating, and will also provide some cooling via their white color and design. They are fire resistant and cheap to produce. Reach out to learn more or explore new ideas together!
