Biography
Dennis Low is a Mechatronics engineer, designer, and entrepreneur whose career exemplifies the art of turning ideas into impactful realities. With expertise spanning biomedical technology, military applications, gaming, art, and more, Dennis has established himself as a pioneer in MVP prototype development and product innovation.
In 1990, he embarked on a transformative journey to Silicon Valley, training in prototype engineering before returning to Singapore to establish his first company in a shared workspace. Over time, Dennis grew his business into a thriving enterprise, securing long-term contracts with Singapore Technologies and attracting investment from EDB SEEDS Capital, which valued his company at SGD 1 million.
Dennis’s projects include Airbus A380 support systems, biopsy robotics for Singapore General Hospital, and cutting-edge gaming devices for Razer. He also shaped Singapore’s innovation landscape by introducing the "Innovation Black Box" concept—a digital platform connecting inventors and investors. He has also contributed to the discourse on innovation, authoring a published article such as "Rebooting Innovation”. His insights were sought by various organizations, including Enterprise Singapore and Sembawang Industrial Properties, for feedback on the innovation ecosystem in Singapore.
Dennis’s has assisted hundreds of startup companies in developing their products and has completed numerous projects with leading research institutions such as A*Star and DSTAR.
Now a Student Venture manager at NTU Entrepreneur Academy, Dennis consults aspiring entrepreneurs, sharing his vast experience in design, prototyping, and entrepreneurship. A key figure in engineering public art and robotics, Dennis Low continues to inspire the next generation with his innovative spirit and transformative vision.
