With 4 years of experience in optimising BSF processes, I adopted various unique, innovative strategies to extend the BSF larvae stage period via temperature control and BSF hibernation. These strategies enhanced larvae feeding productivity, provided contingency plans for backup larvae logistical management, and staggered BSF production schedule for a greater margin of error for any unexpected supply-demand larvae problems. These operational techniques will bring about more versatile, robust, resilient and adaptable BSF operations.
