CPF sources its feed raw materials through its supply chain with annual sustainability auditing. It adopts renewable energy and practices zero wastewater discharge (green farm) at its swine farms.
Being one of the biggest poultry and pork producers, CPF has committed to sourcing sustainable agricultural products. Its supply chains are across from Farm, Feed to Food. It audits yearly 100% of its critical tier 1 supplier which is over 200 suppliers of agricultural products (corn, maize, soybean, palm oil and etc) to ensure their production practices follow environmental and social sustainability.

CPF adopts renewable energy (including solar rooftop and biogas from animal manure, about 26% of its total energy consumption) in its feed and meat production facilities, phasing out coal usage by 2022 through increasing the adoption of bioenergy generated from biomass. Throughout its global production sites, the zero discharge policy is being implemented where wastewater is being treated and converted to biogas. The waste cooking oil in CPF food processing facilities is upcycled into biodiesel. Technological innovation is adopted for meat processing to minimize waste.
Both CPF’s chicken and pork have obtained Carbon Footprint Reduction (CFR) label issued by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO) in 2019 and 2021 respectively. In particular, CPF’s chicken has obtained CFR since 2015. The carbon footprint of its fresh chicken is 2.19 kgCO2e/1kg, less than half of the Thai standard at 5.19 kgCO2e/1kg.
