ADBI Circular Economy E-learning Course

About the Course

WHY

A skilled workforce is critical for the transition to a circular economy. Sustainable consumption and production guided by Life Cycle Thinking have been a key move towards sustainability. Circularity drives zero waste movement and transforms product design and waste management. The circular economy transition requires coherent efforts of multi-stakeholders, circular supply chain building in all industry sectors involving industry symbiosis, and the change of consumer behavior. It is critical to equip the policymakers with

● holistic life cycle thinking

● understanding in all sectors and their respective value chains in the economy.

This enables policymakers to build the comprehensive policy framework and follow the policy’s life cycle to accelerate the transformation of our economy.

WHAT

We design a short course that follows the life cycle of circular economy policy from its inception, development process, implementation, assessment, and continuous revision. We use case studies worldwide including Europe, Asia Pacific, North America, South America, and Africa to highlight context-specific policy making and implementation. We emphasize the importance of public and private partnership (PPP) in R&D, Innovation, and Financing through case studies to demonstrate success and challenges. Our program demonstrates a process of policymaking through circular economy ecosystem mapping, gap analysis, mechanism of circularity practices, road mapping, and industry & market analysis.
